TPO

TPO, also known as Thermoplastic Polyolefin, is a roofing membrane that is a mixture of polypropylene and ethylene propylene polymer (or in simpler terms, plastic and rubber). Due to its thermoplasticity, installation is completed through mechanical attachment by heatwelding the seams. This leads to a phenomenally stronger and more durable seam. TPO is known to be exceedingly resistant to chemicals, heat, tears, and punctures because of its flexibility. TPO also comes in white which aides in the resistance to UV radiation. The white color helps reflect the UV rays and keep the building cool while reducing the energy cost by lowering gas and electricity consumption.
